About Us

Bruce getting for season changeHub Cycle was opened on March 15th, 2000 by co-owners, Bruce and Daisy Roberts.  Since then, it has been the destination bicycling shop of Truro and the surrounding area.

Originally located at 37 Inglis Place, we started out very small and carried a large array of products.  We used to have a large business in skateboarding, kayaking, camping gear, and a few other sporting categories.  Due to space constraints, however, having so many different types of products forced us to either have a very limited selection of each one, or to have a very over-crowded store.  In order to fix this problem, we decided to put more focus on bicycle sales and service and less on the other products.

As we started getting more well-known and becoming a busier and more crowded store, we began to look for a larger space in the local area.  We were lucky enough to find one right next-door!  We moved to 33 Inglis Place in 2002, which provided us with a lot more space for all of our services.  However, after a few years, that location was beginning to seem too small and crowded, which was why, in 2007 we expanded over to 37 Inglis Place by tearing down the wall in between the two.

With a staff of experienced mechanics, riders, and customer service employees, we are known for our excellent customer service and dedication to each and every customer's needs. We care about our customers, and make sure that we match them with the right bike for their style of riding, and that the bike is properly fitted to the individual's desired comfort level.

All of our bikes have been assembled by experienced bicycle mechanics, so you can be assured the bike is safe and working its best. After purchasing a bike, customers receive a complementary one month tune up to take care of any cable stretching that may occur in the first month of riding.  Also, at the time of purchase of a new bike, customers receive 10% off any accessories that they might need to get started on their new bike. These could be things like a helmet, gloves, tool, etc.
